WHAT IS YOUR CAR WORTH?

Sell your Nissan or Nissan lease in Los Angeles and Burbank

Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation, NMAC, finances both Nissan and Infiniti leases, and it's another lender that closed off payoff quotes to anyone but the lessee or a Nissan franchise. That leaves most independent buyers offering little or nothing on a leased Altima, Rogue, or Sentra. IMX still buys them, along with owned and financed Nissans, out of our Burbank buying center. Same-day check either way.

How do I sell my Nissan in Burbank or LA?

  • Start with a free online estimate, or call with your VIN and mileage.
  • Bring the car in for a fifteen-minute inspection. If it's a lease, we pull your exact NMAC payoff while you're here.
  • Sign, and leave with a check you can cash or deposit the same day.

Selling a Nissan you own outright works the same way, without the payoff step. See our sell your car page.

Have your VIN and mileage ready? We can quote a range before you drive in.

Can I sell my leased Nissan?

Yes. NMAC restricts third-party buyouts on both Nissan and Infiniti leases, in line with what most captive lenders started doing a few years ago. IMX completes the purchase through dealer channels NMAC still recognizes, settles your loan directly, and pays you the equity. You never take ownership of the car or deal with the DMV yourself. Our lease buyout page covers how this works across every restricted brand, along with the tax rule that applies when you sell instead of buying out.

How much is my Nissan worth?

Equity is the difference between what we'll pay and your remaining payoff. Altimas, Rogues, and Sentras are common LA leases, and if yours was signed a couple of years back, there's a real chance it's worth more today than the residual on paper. We pull the live payoff from NMAC and appraise the car directly, then show you both numbers.

Do I owe California tax when I sell my Nissan lease?

No, not when the sale goes to us. Buying out the lease yourself would trigger California use tax on the residual, roughly 7.75 to 10.25 percent depending on your county. Selling the lease to a dealer shifts that tax to us instead. Full detail with the code sections is on the lease buyout page.

Why sell your Nissan to IMX?

We've run this buying center in Burbank since 1988, no haggling, no pressure, same offer whether or not you buy your next car here. We serve Burbank, Glendale, Los Angeles, Van Nuys, and the Valley.

811 N Victory Blvd, Burbank. Most appraisals take about fifteen minutes.

Nissan and Infiniti lease questions

Will Nissan Motor Acceptance let a third party buy out my lease?
Not directly. NMAC generally restricts payoff quotes to the lessee or a Nissan franchise. IMX buys Nissan and Infiniti leases through channels NMAC recognizes.
Does this cover Infiniti as well?
Yes. Infiniti leases through the same NMAC financing arm as Nissan, so the same restriction and the same process apply.
How much equity is typical on a Nissan lease?
It depends on when the lease was signed more than the model. We pull your live payoff and appraise the car so you get an actual number instead of an estimate.
What do I need to bring?
Your license, the car, your lease account number or a recent statement, and both keysets if you have them.
How soon do I get paid?
The same day, after a roughly fifteen-minute inspection and the paperwork.
